چکیده
We introduce an algorithm that is able to find the facets of Coulomb diamonds in quantum dot arrays. simulate these arrays using constant-interaction model, and rely only on one-dimensional raster scans (rays) learn a model device regularized maximum likelihood estimation. This allows us determine, for given charge state device, which transitions exist what compensated gate voltages are. For smaller devices simulator can also be used compute exact boundaries diamonds, we use assess our correctly finds vast majority with high precision.

Multiple cotunneling in large quantum dot arrays.
We investigate the effects of inelastic cotunneling on the electronic transport properties of gold nanoparticle multilayers and thick films at low applied bias, inside the Coulomb-blockade regime. We find that the zero-bias conductance, g(0)(T), in all systems exhibits Efros-Shklovskii-type variable range hopping transport. The resulting typical hopping distance, corresponding to the number of ...

One approximation is made to describe a M+1 electron many-body wavefunction by a M electron many-body wavefunction and a single electron wavefunction. Under this approximation, we have derived the Coulomb energy which relates the exciton energy Eexc in a quantum dot with the quasiparticle band gap (defined as the difference between the ionization energy and the electron affinity), and the Coulo...
متن کاملCoulomb blockade in an open quantum dot.
We report the observation of Coulomb blockade in a quantum dot contacted by two quantum point contacts each with a single fully transmitting mode, a system thought to be well described without invoking Coulomb interactions. Below 50 mK we observe a periodic oscillation in the conductance of the dot with gate voltage, corresponding to a residual quantization of charge. From the temperature and m...
متن کاملConductance in quantum wires by three quantum dots arrays
A noninteracting quantum-dot arrays side coupled to a quantum wire is studied. Transport through the quantum wire is investigated by using a noninteracting Anderson tunneling Hamiltonian. The conductance at zero temperature develops an oscillating band with resonances and antiresonances due to constructive and destructive interference in the ballistic channel, respectively. Moreover, we have fo...
